I had a great birthday which i shared with my close friends and of course brook! It was a pretty chill day especially because  i have been feeling sick all week. I had sushi with the girls, went shopping with brook, dinner with the boyfriend and out to the club later that night. One of the birthday gifts i received yesterday was the dress i wore out. Brook bought it from me and i was in love with the shape, the form and fabric therefore i had to wear it that night. Overall my birthday was great, I hope you guys had a good weekend as well!

Washington DC

This past weekend me and brook went on a trip with our school to DC!!!! We were so excited to be getting away from school and experiencing something new. The purpose of the trip was to allow students from a predominantly white university to visit a HBCU (historical black college university), so IU took a trip to Howard University's homecoming. While there we got to tour the city and catch taxi's everywhere (which was definitely a hassle lol), going to Howard's campus, the night life and to see the Washington monuments! Overall the trip was a fun and very much needed little vaca!

Homecoming weekend

This past weekend was IU's Homecoming! We were super excited to blow of some stress from the hectic school week and to celebrate my last homecoming as a undergrad. We could not attend the game like we planned because both of us and all of our friends ended having to work. BUT we did have a unforgettable time going out both friday and saturday! I hope all of you guys weekend was as great as ours!

Season 1

Gossip Girl here: ok so we are sure how many of our readers are gossip girl fans but it is our all time favorite show. And if you ever have just caught a glimpse of just one show you would see they wear the most ridiculous fashionable items that are exclusive to those with fat pockets. You can easily learn what is on trend and about many designer just from watching weekly. So we have been inspired by gossip girl and are going to post a pic each week after the episode appears (monday nights) of how we felt they dressed that season. So for this week we did season 1, and season 1 mostly took place at their high school. So we went a very preppy boarding school look. After we have posted an inspired look from every season we will begin to just post inspired looks from season 4. Let me know what you guys think of our looks and if you guys are gossip girl lovers too.

Sweater and Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Today was a normal tuesday in october, COLD! This morning when i left for class it was freezing outside, it was barely 30 degrees. But i was kind of excited because it meant i could start to wear my fall items. So i pulled out this sweater and decided to pair it with a soft pink top. Of course i did not wear the 3inch heels i have on in pic but instead a pair of gray blowfish flats.

Besides getting to wear fall clothes i was excited for today because some of my classes were canceled in effort for my major to attended a retail forum the Retail Studies Organization puts on annually. So today i was about to hear a representative from JC Penny speak about Sephora! It was really informative. But i hope you guys had a great Tuesday!

In the Night

So me and brook both decided to do little post tonight. Trying to stay on top of things with our busy schedule. Now that the week is winding down i have NO homework, free time to blog and time to hang out with my girls. Tonight i attended a event on campus that was based on a documentary filmed at a school near mine. It was about issues with diversity and being black on a predominately white campus, it was good and very educational. Afterwards I went out for dinner with my roomies. This weekend should continue to be filled with events so me and brook will be posting us out and about for the weekend. Till next time loves.
