Relaunch

We have sat down and talked, and listened, and shared, and reviewed our blog and after much deliberation... we've decided that we SUCK! Therefore we've decided we must do something about it, so we are relaunching our blog to start over fresh. 

Just to be clear we want to define what our relaunch means: it includes.. regular post and getting to know our individual styles and us personally.

So starting today we are promising (our pinky to yours) that we will make a significantly noticeable effort to be more committed to our blog!

We posted a couple of pictures below show our personal styles at the moment

Currently my style is all over the place.. guess I'm a little indecisive and inconsistent about my choice in clothing, as I am in life lol.. my wardrobe is a true reflection of myself! However I do know that I am sooo effortlessly falling in love with feminine pieces, back exposure, and the shape of items. Neutral colors are my BEST FRIEND but I am attempting to branch out and befriend a little color. Dresses are a must (although I didn't photograph myself in one :/) and they consume most of the space in my closet. 

With that said I have an addiction to unique items that cannot be worn on a day-to-day basis; with my daily schedule mostly being class, work, library.. so casual pieces are currently working themselves in the mix. I love uniquely placing pieces together with my own creative touch and hopefully you enjoy my concoctions as well :)

p.s. i love a little masculinity as well... (told you i was a little all over the place ;)

Unlike brook i am a very particular person, i know what i want to wear and how i want it to look, this is great at times because i can visualize a look down to the accessories BUT this is a hindrances as well. I always create outfits in my mind with things i dont own or cant find in stores lol but on another note 

 At the moment i think my style is very girlie combined with street chic. I love anything feminine, mix matching patterns, bold colors, chunky heels and everything high waisted. With the fall coming up I'm starting to get really into all the 70s inspired pieces which kind of embodies everything i listed above.

I often go for one item bold pieces you can just throw on as a statement piece so you don't have to do much to make the rest of the outfit come together. That way it looks effortlessly simple But, with that being said it leaves me with very little simple casual pieces in my wardrobe which I'm working on 

but as i blog my daily inspirations and looks im sure you will see my style is ever changing due to me getting easily bored.

I took a trip to San Antonio without brook : ( for a little over a week to visit my family and see a few friends. Of course its crazy hot here every day, as soon as you step out soon the sun is beaming dry heat on your face. This is a pic of sunday after going to church and out to brunch. I loved this dress when i first saw it, it reminds me of a sailor dress because of the bib around the neck and the color.

Ill be reuniting back with brook after the weekend, hope you guys have a good one!

buy of the week

I just got this bag a little over a week ago and thought i would share with you guys. We are going to start doing a post once a week about what we consider to be a incredible buy. Whether its due to its price, quality or something we just adore and think you should run out and get one for your self lol....

But anyways I bought this bag at TJ MAXX. Its perfect for students or a career women. It has many compartments and is pretty big and spacious....plus it comes with a makeup bag, wallet and a laptop case and ALL of this was ONLY 19.99!!!! i know crazy right but anyways it comes in the three other colors and seems pretty durable. I love it!

Yesterday we wound up wearing the same color scheme.. which further leads me to believe that we were meant to be twins, our parents just messed it up for us. Any-who, we were out yesterday with our roommate running errands which included selling some of the clothes we no longer wear to Plato's Closet and the trip somehow lead us to a sushi spot in town :). Anyways we snapped a couple photo's and wanted to share with you all, hope you enjoy!

Easy Breezy

Let it flow...let it blow! I (danielle) am in love LOVE with flowy draped loose fitting skirts whether they are long, mid calf length or quite short. They seem perfect of this season and easy to dress up. They are so feminine and remind me of the 60s when everything was more "lady like" which i adore at the moment, so you will probably see us blog about them more.

But it was our day off and it was actually nice outside so we did a little shopping at a vintage shop we just found out about, which we were mostly looking for things for our apartment. Then we ventured off to urban outfitters and to a couple of boutiques down town.

5, 5 dollar, 5 dollar shoe sale!!!! 

The month of January you can find the best deals, everybody is trying to get rid of everything that did not sale during the holidays so they can bring in their spring collections. So earlier this week when we entered Charlotte Russe we came upon one of the best deals ever, shoes for $5! The two shoes we picked up above were also a bonus because they can transition into the spring season.

On another note, the weekend is here! And we plan on going to an all black party this weekend to start the semester off with a little fun. So we will be posting pictures! Have a good weekend dolls!

I had a great birthday which i shared with my close friends and of course brook! It was a pretty chill day especially because  i have been feeling sick all week. I had sushi with the girls, went shopping with brook, dinner with the boyfriend and out to the club later that night. One of the birthday gifts i received yesterday was the dress i wore out. Brook bought it from me and i was in love with the shape, the form and fabric therefore i had to wear it that night. Overall my birthday was great, I hope you guys had a good weekend as well!

Homecoming weekend

This past weekend was IU's Homecoming! We were super excited to blow of some stress from the hectic school week and to celebrate my last homecoming as a undergrad. We could not attend the game like we planned because both of us and all of our friends ended having to work. BUT we did have a unforgettable time going out both friday and saturday! Style Icon: Angela Simmons

We love, love, love Vanessa and Angela Simmons. They both have amazing style, a well establish brand and are beautiful girls. We love that Angela has such a wide range of style. She can be extremely casual wearing jogging pants with a tee-shirt and no make up , twisting the latest trends to fit her style, or to a all dolled up sex kitten. These pictures illustrate the range of styles she has in her closet.

One of the Key things we want to work on in our Summer up grade plan *to redo our wardrobe* is to have diversity. So we have cute casual staple pieces to wear around campus, shopping or basically just in our everyday life, as well as dressy, trendy, sexy and classic. So hopefully one day we get on Angela's level and our closet is a diverse as hers!!!
